Senior Landscape Architect & Planner
Erik holds a Bachelor of Architecture/ Urban Design and a Master of Landscape Architecture (Honours.) He has extensive experience as a senior landscape architect, planner, urban designer, and project manager in both private practice and public service.
In his varied career he has successfully completed projects of many types in Canada the United States, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Working from master planning through design development to construction documents and observations, he has an appreciation for both overall context and the details. He has developed and implemented sensitive, innovative design solutions responsive to a wide variety of cultural and ecological conditions.
From his involvement on numerous complex projects he is able to understand and appreciate the contributions of team members from different disciplines. This often involves “translating” between them and synthesizing and clarifying technical jargon for the benefit of lay people and professionals in different fields.
He is a Registered Landscape Architect in three states and is a Member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (through the Alberta and Ontario associations) and the American Planning Association. He is a LEED® Accredited Professional and is Certified by the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards.
